Just put a little resistor in there then, would achieve the same thing.Even if it's always on 10, just something to cut the top end off a bit.

I don't totally miss the tone knob in guitars without it but at the same time there are moments when shaving a little high end with the tone knob is welcome vs changing presets or pedals.I've owned several single pickup guitars and I've always returned them. I love the idea of a single pickup. I do NOT like the idea of a single volume knob. 25.5 scale guitars really need a tone knob imo. Even if it's always on 10, just something to cut the top end off a bit. Every time I have had a guitar like this I always end up reaching for a tone knob that's not there, looked into how much work it would require to drill into the guitar and install a tone knob, then just sent the guitar back. If only single pickup guitars with a tone knob were more common.
I just wasn't playing it that much. It was cool but the honeymoon phase for me wore off rather quick and the 1956 Junior popped up for sale so I sold the Custom to help fund the Junior purchase./\ I think Les Pauls in that configuration (as in carved top, single pickup, binding and inlays) are unofficially called "Les Paul senior" as supposed to the Les Paul Juniors?
Why did you sell the custom, anyways?
Damn that Rampage is WOW. I’m gonna use a single hum pickguard on my old 88 Kramer Pacer for a similar vibe.I like single pickup guitars, any of my current ones have a single humbucker at the bridge.
The G&L is one of the og's from the 80's. Super solid guitar that has been a round the block before I got it. As far as I know it has the original Schaller pickup which sounds great!
The Ibanez has an EMG 707TWX-R which has a single coil mode so it's a little more versatile. I play that guitar a lot, probably just as much as my nicer 7's. I made the pickguard too, still figuring out how I want to finish it.
I couldn't find a picture of mine but I also have one of the newer cheapo Kramer Barettas in blue. They're pretty solid guitars for not a lot of money.

May or may not? You clearly have a problem. The right problem. That ESP V… I might be having a heart attack…
Thanks! I got it from a family friend who played it a ton ages ago. It's funny that he think it's some junky guitar. He's had some really nice guitars over the years but he doesn't think highly of this one for some reason. I frickin love it, even with old strings and the missing locking nut it plays and sounds great.Damn that Rampage is WOW. The V was a problem since ESP long ago discontinued making NVs and KKVs but it they have always been one of my favorite guitars. On a whim I had the local guitar store check if they would make one and they said they would. Several months and smaller bank account afterwards, I do have a NV from the custom shop.May or may not?
