So glad Seymour Duncan has alternate colors for some of their pickups now. Was tempted to grab a Nazgul/Sentient set in Frost White just for the vibe.

The Crimson Red is cool too.

Long time since last post... My SL1s (1999 BGF and 2019 SW)

Edit:
1999 has SD Parallel Axis Original humbucker and QuarterPound mid&neck singlecoils

2019 has custom order Lundgren Anomaly humbucker and Black Heaven mid&neck singlecoils

How do you like the Anomaly bridge pickup? Also... Black Heaven single coils? That sounds so cool.
Cheers! I’ve had the Anomaly only for couple of weeks but really liked it from day one. Mid output goodness with high gain amps 👍

The singlecoils sound really good too but true test is tomorrow at band rehearsals 😇

I assume the single coils were a custom wind by Johan? If such a thing exists, even as a custom option, the Black Heaven just shot up way on my list for an H-S guitar build...

Yeah Johan recommended them when I emailed him what would match well with the Anomaly. Those BH singlecoils might be in webshop some day but custom order only at the moment.

My battle axe. Had it for many years. It has some visual dents and the resale value is very low.

Its had EMGs, Duncans, several Dimarzio, Gibson, GFS and BKP installed. This time I decided to take out the 81/60 and try out a pair of D Activators.

One of the cheapest and best axes I've owned. Next in line is adding pots and solder the system.

I think the finish looks better the older and more worn it gets.

How do you like the Quarter Pounders and how do they compare to other singles you've played? 🍿

High output and not traditional singlecoil sound but not as hot as singlecoil sized humbuckers like HotRails. Kinda close to P90s I guess. More bass and less chime but still keeps that singlecoil feel. Balances well with high output bridge humbuckers.

I tried both QP and Hot Tele in a Baja Telecaster I had.
Hot Tele : Very bright, very hot and agressive barking sound sound.
QP : More round, still very powerful and more punchy sound. Much smoother feeling than the Hot Tele

Compared to stock pickups, they both more powerful - but the QP is thicker and like almost P90/PAF-type sound.
