Well he made it to March, maybe a few days into April. We are stopping his medicine and he is being put into hospice. Probably only has a couple days.

Damn, I'm really sorry to hear this. Beautiful picture. You've inspired me to call my dad today.

2 family members in hospice within a 7 month period. Visiting this morning. I hope when I pass, it's as immediate as can be. I don't want to put my family members through what so many of us have to go through eventually with our family members who depart before us.

@nightsprinter - Condolences, man. Been there and it is absolutely one of the toughest things my family has had to deal with. Same as you... I do not want to wind up in that situation and in fact, I'm not going to. Death is just such a brutal thing to be involved in.. in any capacity/ context.

Although it’s been nearly 20 years it still feels like just yesterday going through hospice with my dad. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks, boss. The relative I saw on Monday slipped away about 2 hours after I left that morning. Such is life.

April 22nd would've been my dad's birthday, if he didn't then pass away about a week and a half later on May ..2nd coming on 14-years ago; and I'm only 35 to begin with, so I'm not far off from going thru half my life without him vs. with him unfortunately.
