Helped a friend move some furniture to his new apartment today. Massive pain in the ass carrying couches and washing machines etc up to the 4th floor in a very narrow staircase, but helping out is just one of the most satisfying things there is, especially when they're genuinely really grateful for the help.

Well, just one machine luckily But yeah he's not into music at all, so no amps. And don't ask, I don't get how it's possible not to be into music at all - he doesn't even LISTEN to music, like, at all.

Luckily my other friend who was also there helping out is pretty much as into metal as you can be without actually playing an instrument, so we were discussing the latest Judas Priest album (which he had playing in the car as we drove there) throughout the moving process

^ oh yeah and adding to that previous post, I'm also happy about that Priest album. They sound like they could be 1/3 of their age and the songs are just solid too. Nothing groundbreaking, sure, but still very good.

When I had my facial feminization surgery they peeled half my face off and when that happens it severs the two big nerves that run across the top of your head. I'm happy cuz I finally have some sort of feeling back in my skull and I can move my eyebrows and forehead again. Having the top of your head be numb and itchy and not being able to move your forehead at all for like 6 months is super weird. Also I look way cuter even though all of the swelling isn't quite gone yet and I pretty much always pass now instead of it being a 50/50 and it makes life a lot less stressful cuz I don't deal with dumb transphobic bullshit when I'm at work or in public hardly at all anymore etc.

My medical knowledge is extremely limited but if they're cutting nerves I'm surprised that came back; I was under the impression those don't really heal.
That's awesome though; glad it's settling in well. That itch but can't scratch sensation must have been a nightmare.

Most nerves reconnect eventually but it just depends on your body and stuff and the surgery etc. Some girls have permanent numb spots on their heads after their FFS. The itch you can't scratch is a nightmare and it still happens sometimes but now I can sort of scratch it lol. It also hurts when nerves reconnect too cuz it feels like a little shock or stab. The nerves are still reconnecting a bunch from my vaginoplasty and a few times a day it just feels like I'm getting stabbed in the vag for a few seconds. When the nerves around my clit reconnect I'm like and then it's fine like 20 seconds later. It's a good sign tho cuz it means I'm healing good

random question but is all this worth it? i personally can't medically transition with the surgeries and other stuff like hormones but, i've been starting to socially transition a bit. i was just wondering if for you all the pain that the surgeries have caused is worth it or not. it seems like it is ofc but y'know? idk.

Feeling a lot of relief that my goal of “use what you have, band reqs met” is completed. Cant say the same for my bandmates but that is far less my problem .

Im nervous turning focus back to employment for the most part, but im confident its going to lead to the best outcome I can reach.

Worlds still awful, I feel a little better. Still gonna doom though

balancing work and creative life is a huge challenge. I just remind myself that as much as it sucks to have to give most of my time over to work, it sucks even more being broke and makes the creative aspect that much more challenging.

holy fucking shit standardized testing is almost over

still gotta catch all the students who missed it and get them to do make-up tomorrow but the worst of it is over

tbh I've been putting DIY shows together my whole life with unreliable ass alcoholic punks, this was a walk in the park comparatively, but my supervisor has been very high strung this week

looking forward to being in charge of it next year so I don't have to imbibe all that stress
