Thought this might make for a fun thread:

What deal did you get on Black Friday?

    Gear:

I purchased a Seymour Duncan Jazz (SH-2n) neck pickup to pair with the Custom Custom (TB-11) I put in my Godin Freeway Classic (2004) last year.

    Deal:

15% Off Regular Price. In Canada regular price is $119 + tax, so I got it for $101.15 + tax (CDN).

I grabbed a few necks and a neck/body block on Stratosphere. All 20% off.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with the necks but they had some FR ready Strat necks calling my name, and a decent LP Classic block.

I saved a ton of money by not buying anything. :)

That being said, the weekend isn't over.

PRS SE Holcomb. Regularly $1,169 CAD + tax. Got it for $940 + tax. Not a killer killer deal, but pretty good seeing as though I was in the market for one and was going to get one within the next year. They also had 3 in stock so I got to pick the one with the best top/finish.

What store did you purchase from in Toronto? (Only asking cause I used to live there and was curious as to which store had 3 in stock, lol)

It was the Guitar Shop in Mississauga.

Not that longs ago, I'd say that finding one on the shop floor was rare. Now, it's not so bad. Steve's had one on the floor not long ago, and had a couple in the warehouse. The Long & McQuade on Bloor usually has one.

3 on the floor was a surprise. I knew they had 3 in stock, I just wasn't expecting them to all be out.

I almost bought a Jackson SL7 HT Charcoal that was going for £545 in Andertons. I was consider it today but when I checked all 4 in stock had sold out. I just couldn't justify buying another guitar less than 3 months since I bought my Gibson LP. Truth be told they still have a few of the Pro line models in low prices and I'm tempted.

I did get a Samsung 10.1" Tab A with 32Gb ram for £159 versus the £199 regular price. Not state of the art but with decent specs to browse through the internet and put on videos and games for the kids without it slowing down.

I saw one there too, a while back. I think it was in the spring, maybe? But, I haven't seen one there since, nor in stock on their site.

For trying out a guitar in the shop, Cosmo and The Guitar Shop are the best. Good selection of amps, and your own little room.

    1. MF is running a 15% discount (coupon from email expires 11/25). I used it to buy strings, and a bass pedal (Xmas gift for my brother).

    2. Revv is running a rare 15% coupon!!!!! Couldn't resist and got me the G3 pedal. Learned about this from the yt video below, watch at your own risk, lol.

Stuart Mill's "On Liberty" for my girlfriend, and Perez Soto's "Proposition of a Hegelian Marxism" for myself. Yes, we discuss a lot regarding politics

sadly no gear buys, but I really want to update from my ages old POD XT for live playing

I think Guitar Center had a free shipping promo last year on all used gear. If it comes up again I might just buy something, there are some pretty decent used deals but the shipping is usually what kills it for me.

Ugghh... lol. I have been buying some cheap used pedals lately, but I find it so ridiculous a $45 pedal should cost $15 in shipping, and arrives in a box the size of a 112 combo amp.
