my ex wife was super into him. well, I guess she probably still is. anyway, mixed memories there, not always an easy or pleasant listen, but it also feels good to reclaim it in a sense. it's too bad he didn't make more tracks like that, nothing else of his has really resonated with me.

also Yonkers - Tyler, The Creator. he made that beat in about 8 minutes to mock new york hip hop and rapped as is he was from there. he hates that song and the album it was on now, as he feels he's released better music, so yeah, i wonder if Yung Lean feels the same way about Ginseng Strip

I saw Bill live back in January, it was pretty incredible. His timing/feel is unlike any other player I've heard, and it's even more uncanny in a live setting. His phrasing is just top notch too, he always seems to know exactly what to play at any given moment. A master improviser and storyteller.
