I got the wild idea a while back to get some of awful pedals and try them out to see if I could get them to sound good. Thus "Worse Pedals Ever" was born. I have checked out 2 pedals so far: The Ibanez DS7 and the First Act 222 distortion. Both are very special. If you have owned or played any of the pedals, please let me know. I love hearing stories about them

The Ibanez SH7 Seventh Heaven distortion pedal is quite atrocious too.. I bought one a few years ago as more of a 7 string collectible and was shocked how bad it sounds.

I had that DS7 and the SmashBox distortion from the same series. Kinda still wish I had the SmashBox. It had its own voice. Not necessarily a good one, but unique.

I had a Danelectro “Grilled Cheese” distortion mini pedal for a while.

A better name for it would have been “Grilled Fizz AM Radio Wah Cockedallthewayforward Treble Ear Piercer.”

Their "Black Coffee" metal distortion pedal was quite the thing, too. Almost as bad as my old RokTek distortion pedal.

Definitely didn't mind the DS7 at all

Kinda want to put together a purposely-atrocious grind/noise rig and cheap pedals seem to be the way to go

I had a DOD Supra Distortion at one point but it was noisy as hell. Not entirely sure if it was just the pedal or if it was somehow broken.

DOD has some truly great pedals. This one is way better than the HM2.

ehx ravish sitar. it's a horrifying chorus/delay/octaver mishmash that tries to sound like a sitar, but ends up actually sounding like a swarm of bees mixed with wind chimes blowing at random.

Hate me all you want but I found the EHX Metal Muff (/w top boost) absolutely terrible. I think it has to be used in the fx loop because funnily enough it sounded somewhat decent when I plugged it into a Microcube through the aux-input.
