To be honest there is a lot of that in adverts here too, this was purely a one off, advertising/commercials is so dull and boring these days!
The new McDonald’s advert makes me chuckle though.
It’s ‘The great taste of America’s, Carolina Stack Burger’ which isn’t available in the US haha

There was that old Carl's Jr. commercial that had Ultra Violence (Death Angel) in it. But yeah, not enough metal in the US, generally.

I've heard that PUNK IPA is really good but I've never had the chance to try it. Now I'll grab a clue next time I'm in the super market.

I saw this in the cinema recently and cringed so hard. Brewdog are a huge drinks manufacturing organisation who pretend to be "punk" to try and appeal to hipsters, counter-culture and anti-corpation types. I guess it's working.

Because their company is very large, they are inherently posers?

Their poser status is a completely undisputed matter of fact at this point.

They're the innocent smoothies of beer.

From what I gather, this is what they are really like. The constant marketing of "hey we're punk ;)" then being ultra corporate bastards is hilarious.

They're massive in Scotland (as they are from here) but they do pull some stupid marketing campaigns and try to be "edgy".

Good beer, but agree that they are probably the most corporate craft beer company in Europe who seem to spend most of their time and money trying to convince people that they are not.

That's not what I said at all. Don't try to twist my statement.

I was under the impression that "being punk" was antithetical to being a business of any significant size. Of course this only matters if you care much about the distinction between punk as a lifestyle and punk as an aesthetic. If that's not the statement you were trying to make, I think you'd need to clarify, cause that's how I read it too.

Realistically though, while I like metal, and sometimes I like beer, and I can appreciate a well put together ad - this is not a very good ad. All I learned from this is that someone in a marketing position somewhere likes Meshuggah. I have zero reason to believe this is any reason I'd like the beer.

That's how it read to me. I'm not even implying that you're mistaken, I was just trying to get clarification on your point.

Marketing is just being a poser for money, company size doesn't matter. :p
