Thoughts on Seismic Cabinets?

I have the option to buy this cabinet,

https://www.seismicaudiospeakers.co...oducts/empty-2x12-guitar-cabinet-black-black#

loaded with a pair of Vintage 30s for $350

Cabinet is used, has a few scuffs but nothing major, also has castors installed. I've briefly played through it and the speakers sound good.

Thoughts? Seems like a fair enough price. Vintage 30s aren't my favorite speaker out there (although I don't know exactly what would be my favorite), I don't dislike them either. Are there better cabinets out there for the price? Would the money be better put towards a different brand? I don't need the the best cabinet in the world but I don't want something cheap either. The amp most used will be either a Mesa .50 Caliber+ head or a Fryette Deliverance 60.

Thanks!

You're basically getting the cab for 50ish dollars, as V30s are 145 each. If the cab is really birch ply as they claim then you've gotten a pretty good deal. A sheet of Birch ply is around $100US right now, so bear that in mind. Try the cab, see if you like it and then decide if you want to explore other options.

I have seen a couple of Seismic cabs, they seem to be built decently enough. They w that I've been around were built with plywood, and were solid. This seems like a pretty good deal, there may be better deals out there but this one isn't bad at all.

That's a pretty good deal in my opinion.

Here in LA, we're seeing used 4x12s going for $200 and under.
I bought a used Calvin Belair (50W tube amp with a pair of V30s) for $200 a couple of years ago. The V30s are still excellent. I'm not sure that $350 would be a price that I'd pay for a used 2x12.

Yeah that's LA where gear is plentiful. He's in Missouri and above dude is from Georgia and I'm in Ohio, all pretty shitty gear markets. You don't find V30'd 4x12s in our areas for good prices.

Nah, avoid. Cheap cabs arent worth it at all.
The seismic cab I had like 2 years ago was actually pretty decent, solid and felt like birch plywood. Could be wrong, but it was wayyyy better than the peavey ones I replaced them with that were pure MDF.

How hard is it to sell if you dont like it? If its an easy flip and you have the money, try it out.

They are $202 new plus shipping which I'm sure isn't cheap. Then you have to buy the speakers. This one has casters installed as well which is a small plus.
