Have YouTubers run out of original content? For some reason everything in my recommended list was "GUITAR TEACHER REACTS TO POLYPHIA"... (Only watched like 10 seconds of the video once and stopped because too much talking)

In my opinion, these videos are a waste of server space, but hey, apparently it pays...

Need to start my own YouTube channel, I guess.

Also, make sure to check out the new merch line we just dropped, and if you like what we do here and want to help support the channel, make sure to check out my Patreon and the Patreon-exclusive Discord channel. Reaction videos sell, they are cringe and add barely anything to the internet but we're at the point in history where trying something new and original costs you more than just reacting to the few things that are original/popular/etc.

Just like the video game industry, everyone is begging for remakes/remasters of games less than a decade old and all the new content is selling the game in parts with massive DLC costs. Now youtubers find more value in letting others live their first time experience of something and monetizing it.

Expecting this trend to die is to expect the consumer to wise up and close their mouths even though all they want is regurgitated shit.

Like all "influencer"/general social media attempted stars, I absolutely do not give a fuck.

If I come across one, will I watch it? Maybe. Probably not. Am I going out of my way to find and trash them? Hard no.

I really like the ones that give a new perspective on things I've not considered, when I learn new things I hadn't heard before, or notice new things about what I like.

People like sharing what they like with others. ...Even if some people only just want to see others pog.

the new "pop" stars are 2 min youtubers. playing blurbs or selling stuff to the short attention span audience.

Click bait that I never click on 99.9% of the time. The exception was that opera singer reacting to Will Ramos doing “To the Hellfire”. Her review appeared full of genuine curiosity and excitement.

Rebecca's someone who I really dig when she does a video on a song I like, as she does like, multiple takes on the same notes and her videos end up like, 5x as long as the actual song she's "reviewing." But again, I don't actively subscribe to her, just occasionally check and see if there's been any new ones worth watching here and there.

I'll do you one better - I'll start an OnlyFans, where I react to music videos where you can watch me for $19.99. But you won't be able to see the really GOOD reactions unless you pay another $20 per video.

I never watch any of those videos. Or even album review vidoes, like the new Megadeth album reaction videos that's filled my side of youtube.

The Charismatic Voice channel is a gem amongst the crap that is youtube reaction channels these days. I really like Elizabeth Zharoff, she seems like a genuinely awesome person and she is so damn curious and open minded about the human voice.

And her interviews are great too! They even shoved a camera down Will Ramos' throat to see what's going on when he does his things.
