For me, it was a Ferrari yellow Dingwall bass. I ended up getting a white one instead.
Oh I had one of those some time ago! Came with the original case and all that, just rusted strings and some grime. I cleaned it up and it was genuinely good as new. The best part is i paid 600 bucks on Offerup for it. I traded that for a G&L Custom Shop fallout with a Parallel Axis in the bridge - a lot better suited for me and what I play than that heavy tone beast. That was mint condition as well so I see it as a good tradeThis Ibanez Musician 1981 MC350FR
Quite a rare beast, it was basically mint condition with a Hiscox case. I had already spent over £1000 on some guitar bits so i wasn't quite ready to spend another £1200. The guitar had been on Reverb for more than a year so i thought i could maybe pick it up in a couple months time.
When i decided i could do it the guitar was gone. Probably never see one again.
The one that REALLY got away from me..... the first guitar Bernie Rico Jr. ever built from his own lineup - at least according to the serial number. 00001. Guy here in San Antonio had it listed for 500 bucks! I didnt have the cash at the time, but i feel like a fool for not waiting cause i only just saw people pondering about it on the facebook groups. I knew what it was, I saw the logo before and the parts and wood build with stingers and this n that just made me certain I knew what I was looking at/ Im sure if someone snapped it up it wouldve been relisted for a few figures, and someone might have even snapped it up at that, but in the end it seemed like an older gentleman, he told me he got it in a pawn shop in Cali many decades ago... I told him what he had. Sure, I missed out on a wonderful guitar and a piece of B.C. Rich history, but I saved him the heartbreak of realizing what he would have been practically giving away.
Ouch!A little over a year ago, S7420FMTT with DiMarzio Titans and a LoPro7 in place of the LoTRS. Under a grand CAD.
The seller was only about a 3hr drive from me, but we weren’t able to make our schedules work for a meeting. We took too long arranging shipping, and he ended up selling it locally. Kicking myself for that for a while yet, I imagine.
