Just an Epiphone but above my other guitars this one actually sees the most play. I’ve got my heart set on a Gibson Faded 50s though. hopefully by next year.

Ordered a Heritage H150 that should be here tomorrow. One of the aged models from Sweetwater but not the custom line. Couldn't really see why the price jump is so high between lines. Curious how it compares to my Gibson LP Traditional.

Should be pretty similar in terms of sound, within how much les pauls vary in tone from one to the next.

Picked up a 2018 LPC last night. Didn't get a chance to get pics.

I took a look and it does have the long tenon. Guitar is a beast. Gibson really builds some nice guitars. Fretwork is great.

This seems to have been the last year of the Richlite boards. I'd had an Aristides a while back, so I'm not surprised that the Richlite here is pretty awesome.

Edit: ok so I did actually snap a quick pic of the tenon. Ooo, ahhhhh

I got to check out a 2001 LP Classic with Suhr Thornbuckers today, while it was nice, it wasn't $2500 nice. It would definitely take some work to get it up to snuff (it had an electronics buzzing on two different amps on different circuits, wouldn't hold tune well - this is a much smaller concern). It didn't wow me like my Tremonti does, but a nice instrument. I may continue the hunt.

That sounds like way too much money for a classic?

An '01 Classic I think would still have a 1-piece body with 9-hole relief, so some people really prefer those.
2-piece body (thread on mlp going currently) and 9-hole which I dont see as a $3kCAD guitar at all  (that gets you a used 2019+ standard and change(

Yeah, I would personally go for a newer, solid Standard. They are really nice IMHO.

Should be is one thing… 😂

A guitar’s worth as much as someone’s willing to pay for it. Unfortunately even when it plays like shit lol, whether or not this is the case I can’t say from any experience.

Never played a classic before but I’ve got no doubt there are some rippers out there

Probably not too long, they seem to be around that price from a quick search on the 'verb. Though I'm seeing some better prices on standards and R7s aren't too much more (relatively speaking).
