as per Mylespaul, supposedly Epiphones prices are to go up a few percent starting end of March.

looking around, it seems rare for Japanese LPs to have thicker/wider/chonkier necks like the 58, so I may have to get an epiphone next. Dont think I can swing the budget for a 58 style neck on a Gibby, unless its a tribute...though Tributes tend to rub me the wrong way at times...

Did you buy this from the Netherlands? Looks like my old guitar. (due to the flames and the top wrap)
(There should be a small dent on the back of the body if it is the guitar i am talking about)
Right. It seems like it’s your old guitar 😂 cool! Nice to meet you! I sold my blade gray K7 in order to be an owner of ex your beauty! I love every inch of the guitar. Do you were the first owner?

Hi, Yes i bought the guitar new. I bumped the guitar against the tuneomatic of another Les Paul unfortunately.:wallbash: So that is where the small dent on the back originates. Sorry for that.

As i said in the PM, It is a great guitar and it looks awesome. unfortunately i have some hand issues and the asymmetrical neck was painfull when playing. So i eventually sold it.
I hope you will enjoy playing it for a long time.

I strung it with a GHS 011 to 053 set with a .064 low B tuned to Bb.
I started top wrapping it because i found out the intonation point was a little more accurate with a less steeper string angle over the saddle.

So, though i did get a good deal on a Bigsby bridge off of someone on Mylespaul, the deal fell through.

no worries, Reverb just posted another Bigsby for a slightly lower price. Having that shipped to me.

first time doing anything on reverb, so hopefully this doesn't stab me in the back

in other news, the Epiphone JJN lp seems really intriguing. Loving the single pickup les pauls too.

I'm assuming that the 50s standard necks are the 59 necks, and not the chunkier 58 neck?
A little chunkier than 59. 59 is (was?) studios, lpc’s and R9’s. The R7 i tried felt like my 2019 standard 50’s GT.
