In the same vein as Hufschmidt's name being forbidden at an algorithmic level, anyone remember s7eve's rebellion and the brief existence of 7-heaven.org? I believe that was another series of text that was completely blocked from being entered.

IIRC, there was also some butthurt poster that got banned who also went far enough out of their way to create a dedicated SSO hate site, sevenstringsucks.org or something like that.

Also...

⛳ yeah! (Sadly the old golf club emoji seems to have gone to the great back 9 in the sky.)

Remember when Alex banned all swear words the same way Huf was banned?

The first time I ever saw a 7 string was when I had the Passion and Warfare tape in 7th grade. I specifically remember sitting in GT class at school looking through the sleeve and counting the strings and thinking it was a figment of my imagination that this swirly guitar had 7 strings.

Yes, actually, you did!
I actually even had a seven at that time. The requisite Ibanez RG, of course.
I had actually gone out to Arizona the following year, and met Vince IRL, which was really cool.

Next month will be 20 years for me. I remember the early days, even the get togethers in Boston area, great times. :yesway:

If there were to be an SSO meet up in Oregon or Washington, I would totally attend. That and Jemsite would be the only meet ups I’d consider attending. I have a UG account but attending a meet up would be more about the novelty.
