So I've been wanting to watch The Kingsman for a while now, finally got around to it, watched the first two, but not the prequel. They were very good movies, IMHO, but there was one thing that ruined it for me as a native born Texican...
Nothing against Pedro Pascal, or Internet Daddy as I believe he's refered to these days...but in the words of R Lee Ermey, "What is that??? What the fuck is THAT???" While on one hand, that was a damn good movie, on the other, your gonna spend millions of dollars making a movie and not even google how to shape a cowboy hat? The same thing with Ford V Ferrari....spend millions trying to be historically accurate, you usually get a complementary shaping when you buy a cowboy hat.
But I shouldn't be surprised...the first Kingsman movie tried to turn a chav into a gentleman and then turned around and said Oxfords have open laces, when in all actuality derbies have open laces, Oxfords have closed laces. You would think a movie who makes bespoke clothing a plot point would do a cursory google search to make sure said clothing is actually bespoke
Maybe it's just me, but it takes me out of the movies as much as if the main character was supposed to be playing a sick metal riff and the show him just banging out some power chords.
