ruh roh, my fridge seems to be leaking water underneath somewhere. Maaaybe the freezer drain clogged up 🤔 🤔 🤔

It's making a hissing/gurgling sound. Can things like.. not break before I get out of here lol

oh whew, i think changing the water filter fixed it.

But I see my dishwasher is leaking water too after that last load. what the heck! It was just installed a couple of months ago.

and i see that I think i need a certificate of origin for my car from the manufacturer (dealer didn't have it) before importing it to the US. ah.... that's a pain. Might be cutting that tight on time too. fun fun

Goddamn electrics... I was watching Andor last night when everything suddenly shut down. Turns out it was just the middle row of fuses in the fuse box, so I immediately went into the chat service of the electric delivery company (or whatever it's called), and asked them if there's an issue. The person there checked, and said he could see that all 3 lines are coming through to the meter, but one's not going any further. So then I drove to the local hypermarket at 1am to buy fuses (luckily it's just 5min away and open 24/7), got home and swapped all the 3 main 25A fuses. No change. So then I said fuck it, and went to sleep. I figured the fridge won't melt etc if I don't open it...
This morning I figured I'd turn the main switch on/off in case that'd help (there are 4 different main switches in our system, the one I tried is on the main fuse box, I didn't wanna do it in the night because the lights go on when I flick it, so the kids would wake up...), and then the microwave beeped but turned off again. So then I realized that was the problem - I yanked it on and off a couple of times and when I did it just right, everything stayed on. Huge relief, but now I gotta call an electrician asap to have the switch replaced...

I think I may have to retake both the written and the road test to get my driver's license switched to GA the way the DMV site reads. But to take the road test I need a registered and insured vehicle, but i can't register my jeep without first having my driver's license lol

I guess.....I'll have to rent a car for that.

........I'll call the dmv tomorrow for clarification.

oh the fun of immigrating again. ...hopefully I don't have to do the road test....

I woke up the other day kinda sweating and not able to sleep - turns out the temperature inside my apartment had risen to something like 35C (it was only +10-ish outside) because the thermostat freaked out and got stuck on (I think). I couldn't even shut it off from the wall thermostat thingie, so I had to kill it at the breaker to get it to stop. Called the landlord, they sent a guy with a replacement thermostat - but the new one he was going to put in didn't match the wiring, so he leaves. I get a phone call later saying the heating system in here is "vintage" and it'll take them a few days to source a new thermostat that will work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm glad this happened while the weather is ok, 'cause I've been leaving the heat off all weekend so that I don't just roast alive.

So I went up to the deer camp this weekend, and when I went to go turn on the water, there was a snake in the water box (not the most snake savy person, but 99% sure it was a rat snake). So me being me, started talking to him, sorry for disturbing you, just let me turn this valve real quick and I'll leave you be. He struck at me when I turned the valve, so I pointed at him and said cool it motherfucker, and he bit me on the finger.



Somewhere between me getting bitten by a snake for telling it off, to using a tree branch to try and evict him and saying my bad dude, I'm not Harry Potter, I can't talk to snakes...I fucking miss Steve Irwin.

So I had to shave because of work. I've lost around 35-40 pounds since the last time I shaved, which was back in September.

On one hand, my clothes being so baggy wasn't as noticeable because it was gradual, on the other hand, last time I saw my chin, there was 2 of them.

I don't like change to begin with...but I legit don't recognize my reflection anymore.

No, I mean I was a fat fuck since before I could grow facial hair, not so fat anymore. I shaved and only have one chin and some definition in my lower face. When they told us at work we had to shave, I was joking I forgot what half of my face looked like, but I have selfies from last time I had a mustache....that is not what my face looked like. The lack of fatness is fucking with me harder than the lack of beard.

I think it's more of a shock just to go from beard > no beard if you haven't seen it in a while vs. just seeing the "face gains." I have the opposite where my beard slims me down, then when I shave it (usually only when I fuck up and trim it too short somewhere) I look like the New Years baby grew up and got strungout.

No the shock of it was my wife was speechless after I shaved and sent a pic to her mom, who likes the mustache. Most industries, the common thing to have is a degree, mine is a divorce. I feel like I'm being set up.

This feels like a trap.

Yeah, I only have a very short goatee but even shaving that off makes a huge difference. My wife has specifically forbidden me from ever completely shaving it, I look like I'm a fat 12 year old or something if I do Besides, my beard grows super slow, so if I shave it it'll take like a year to grow back. Comparing to my moustache which I have to shave almost every day or my wife will complain that I'm too spiky when kissing her...

It seems bananas to me to have to do that in 2023. Looking at the residential part of the site, I can pay my month to month rent online. It's just this initial rent/fees/deposit that they require to be a cashiers check or money order.

....so dumb. ............ It wouldn't be so bad other than the cost if I need to fly down, but I'm in the middle of delivering this show I'm on right now.

I think this is just part of the corporate apartment industrial housing complex crap. I hate them...with a passion. But it's easier to do it this way than to find a private landowner since i'm not down there right now to check places out in person.

So I just watched a breakdown of a police video on youtube with my wife, and it had some Karen getting pissed off that should couldn't go into an active crime scene. My wife (stay at home mom) asked if she was stupid or something. I, having worked with the public for 8 years, had a thing or two to say about that. It basically started with the reason you can't call people retarded anymore isn't because it will offend people with down syndrome, it's because it's offensive to compare those stupid motherfuckers to people with down syndrome, all the way to every time we watch a SciFi movie and the bad guy wants to destroy the universe, I'm on his side. I get that I live in that universe but small price to pay.

It was probably the longest, most profane and offensive rant I've ever gone on, the the point I was has like holy shit dude when I was done...but I also heard thousands of voices call out

I like my ps5 a lot, but damn if the controllers don't make my left thumb hurt like hell after marathoning games for a while.

I think it's seriously giving arthritis lol. The joysticks are just a lot stiffer than the old ps4 ones.
