I am thinking about taking a break from drinking, get my diet back on track, go to the gym and spend time doing more things I love.
Any help would be appreciated

FR tho. I used to do public health teaching for elementary school kids and it was hilarious to see how bad the boys in particular are at washing their nasty ass hands. I used to put glo-germ (UV activated glowing goo) on their hands after teaching them the right way to wash their hands, and the boys would have glowing green shit EVERYWHERE. One kid I remember somehow managed to get it all over his arms, his face and his shirt. He literally looked like a glowing one from FalloutLittle kids are fucking nasty. Last week was spring break and I spent most of it sick. I've been back to school one day and I've got some gross upper respiratory thing.

I just realized that I'm an idiot. Always have been
I was scrolling through eBay and Aliexpress etc. for an adapter that'd allow me to connect two audio sources into one set of headphones and almost ordered one. But then I went through all the adapters I already have, and found many of those Y-split adapters. So now I've got the Y adapter plugged into my audio interface, headphones in one output and a USB-C hub (which I plug my phone into when streaming xbox games) connected to the other and my headphones play both the sounds.
Why am I an idiot? Because I've always thought the adapter splits the signal from the one male connector -> two female connectors or the other way around, I had never realized that there's no "direction" involved but it just physically connects the three tip, ring and sleeve pins together. Which is completely obvious![]()
Been going through kind of a funk lately....
Been getting a few new guitars, will be getting promoted to manager at work, band is doing well, new border collie puppy who is a sweetheart, and seeing a gorgeous woman, so you would think life would be great. But for some reason I feel like my energy and motivation is lacking and my brain has been racing more and more and won't shut up and I am not sure why. I am thinking about taking a break from drinking, get my diet back on track, go to the gym and spend time doing more things I love. I just been feeling "Eh" lately and want to get out of it. And when I sit down to do anything I feel like my brain will keep going and going and going, racing until it won't stop....
Any help would be appreciated
I'm actually kinda surprised that works. You've got two amps plugged into one load (your headphones). That doesn't normally... Work. Maybe it's because your phone is on battery and not grounded. Huh.
I've recently decided to get of my ass and start exercising more seriously. I'm trying to go to the gym and exercise classes as much as possible and I've managed to keep it up the past 3-4 months. I've managed to lose about 5kg (or whatever funny unit of measurement you use), my trousers are getting more loose and I kind of feel more energetic. I never understood the "exercise to feel more energetic" thing, as I always felt more tired afterwards and during the week, but it seems to be working somewhat.
My first world problem with this, as was with all my previous attempts at working out, is seeing results. I know some time has to pass but I'm the kind of person that if they don't see progress relatively quickly, gets demotivated and stops the activity. I'm hanging in there though as the weight loss plus a bit of toning of the muscles does help.
That takumi reference was perfect.

I'm feeling you. I never got into working out or even doing mundane shit like taking a walk every day because I couldn't see results immediately. But I don't know if it's the spring time or what but I suddenly feel like I want to start doing some exercising but being overweight and shit, running or even walking is not an option because my feet get sore after like 20 minutes and it's still too cold for cycling. Also, I don't even own a bicycle at the moment because some asshole stole my last one last year + I have 500€ in pawn shop debt to get my guitars back before I can even think about buying a new bicycle.
I guess it depends on the body type and there's a lot of moving parts in it, but for me exercise doesn't seem to make anywhere near as much of a difference as dietary changes. I've managed to lose almost 30kg in half a year by just cutting out most carbs and most important of all, cutting out evening snacks. This was 5 years ago and I've gained it all back sinceAnd now I still haven't found the motivation to do it again.
