Can anyone recommend a rack that fits Vader-type bodies? I've got a 7 guitar rack from Thomann, and it works fine for my Osiris but my Vader, Mayones Hydra, and Ibanez Q series just don't sit well in it as the space behind the bridge is missing.

Any recommendations?

I've long thought about a sort of universal "cradle" that could be placed on the bottom rails of a rack, so that it could support headless guitars with cutouts like a Vader, but have neither the time nor the actual interest because...

I like that even at that price it only comes with a soft case. Motherfucker, I pay 35k for a guitar it better come with a case that can stand up to heavy artillery fire and possibly a full tank-shelling.

To be fair the Kiesel soft cases are actually amazing. They're more like rigid, padded hybrid cases.

To be fair the Kiesel soft cases are actually amazing.

They are really nice soft cases. A Reunion Blues Continental Voyager or Expedition, or a Mono Vertigo (and maybe their Classic) are better...but they are all $250+ each.

Kiesel's have serial numbers? I don't think I've ever noticed one on my vader bass.

Ah, there be the serial. I must be blind as a bat because I replaced the jack last month and never made mental note of it.

Fretboard serial numbers are the classiest. Love that on my MIJ Jackson Soloists

Kiesel can look up the specs if you have the serial number. It usually takes a few days for them to get to it, and they won't confirm any original buyer info. It's also pretty limited when going back beyond the Kiesel change-over, and the further back you go, getting reliable data gets less and less likely.

Even if you call, they would likely have you email the info in, but I'd still start with the call. They might have you send it to a specific person since you went through the effort to call, rather than just emailing in to the general inbox.



The most common location for serial numbers is on the output jack plate.

Second most common is on the highest fret without an inlay if the model doesn't have a jack plate, or I think of it's one of the plastic 13-pin synth-access plates like from the SH575. This can only be done on some (most) of their fretboard options. It can't be done on Richlite, for example, and I know there's at least one wood exception, but I can't remember off the top of my head...roasted maples, if I had to guess. It could be engraved in thoery, but kiesel stamps them.

Then for the K series, it's stamped on the back of the headstock.*

On the Headless K series, it's engraved on the control plate. The above note has the " * " because I honestly don't know if they also started doing that on the K series as well, or if they kept it the same.

With the O2 and Z2 models, where there is no jack plate, and no headstock, I don't know where it would be if you got a Richlite board. Perhaps just carved on the plastic control cavity cover?

Kiesel must have been swamped with sparkle finishes over Black Friday sale because I feel like they're taking a while for this build

I'm not complaining because my wife won't be finding out about this until the guitar arrives, but I've been looking out for that balance due email for a while and nothing.

I remember seeing a NGD on the FB group about 2-3 weeks ago, so they are making their way out...
