Syn20, Fortin tones. Get em while you can, because I think he may have uploaded to public a day earlier than intended.

I'd be really into the Syn20, if it had two large tubes, 6L6, 5881, El34.

I can not understand with all the feedback, and info out there. If competeing in the lunch box amp space, why you would instantly handicap your new amp with small tubes?

I bought the MT15, because the Peavey Invective MH has small tubes. And I like being able to play with a drummer, and or live if need be.
And that is why the MT outsells all other tube heads like 10 to 1. And the DSL also.

The larger 50 watt head would work better me. I like that they made a lunchbox module all in one head.

Does it have a direct line out?

...PSA... There's a rumor that Fortin, Marshall, and ToneKing are coming to Synergy. It was on some list I saw on Facebook of a Synergy post where it lists licenced modules and next to those names it says (coming soon) whereas the others are already in produciton that are listed. Don't blame me for getting your hopes up if it don't come true, but it seems it's happening at some point in time.

I mean the Fortin one is out (see above) and Tone King releases their own version of the IR pedal, so I think it's safe to say a TK and Marshall module is on the way EDIT: wait I forgot they showed a TK module at NAMM lol

Speaking of, I'm surprised there's no Jake E Lee module yet

Yeah, the Fortin has been in videos, and the Tone King was shown at NAMM. It is basically a clean module with tremelo. The Marshall one is the only one really speculated because it was on some list of modules published somewhere, but nothing officially has been shown.

Yes. And IR is bypassable. The manual mentions that with no load, the master volume should be off. So I'm a little confused how the direct out has any color from the power amp. I assume they went with an analog modeling circuit for the reactance and 3 structures and then tried to make the power amp flat.
but nothing officially has been shown.
Showing a module at NAMM seems pretty official to me.

I don't understand it either, especially since they already had a 1-module "lunchbox" head, the SYN-30, with 6L6s in the power section. Why they didn't just take that thing and put the tech of this in it is beyond me.

I'm with both of you on el84's. My 6505mh was only useful as a preamp into my bigger heads. But my Origin 20 can keep up with a drummer on 5w mode at 10 o'clock on the master. 6v6 would've still been good. John Browne did a video addressing this. Sounds promising didn't watch it all yet.

This fellow reminds me of this character from Person of interest...

Has anyone confirmed that the 20IR is backwards compatible?

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet.

As far as I understand it all Synergy stuff is compatible with the old one channel Randall and Egnater style modules. Not 100% sure on that though.
