I’m starting to think about building my own through neck 7 string with a carved top.
I wound have time to complete the build in consecutive days, and i though one option after the initial gluing of the neck etc is to hang the wood from dowels vertially on a guitar holder that than simply store flat.
I have a garage workshop shere I woud do the work but it has a pond filtration system at one end. Wood in there doesn’t rot and it’s well ventilated. The obvious thing is to hang the wood on a house wall between workings.
I’m aware that the moisture equilibrium can cause the wood to contort out of true alignment especially with a wood stackup.
So has anyone hung their guitar wood whilst it’s being worked on?
