Huh? Has anyone else heard of this? Rich lists it as gone and sold out on his site.

This comes as a complete shock, even with the affordable price- they seemed to be selling fairly well.

*sigh* there's no market for 7 string guitars and the only reason they were ever popular is because of bad bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit.

Take it as a good thing, because we're the special ones who don't fit the trends and carve our own musical paths. We're gonna see most 7-string guitars go the way of the dodo, unfortunately.

    yeah.

I even checked musiciansfriend.com to see if they were clearing them out a la 7620, but no dice- wasn't even listed.

Ibanez really snuck this one past us.

Here's hoping second hand prices on them bottoms out, I sorta want one.

Good news- It's been discontinued, but will be replaced by a Royal Blue model. No word as of yet as to pricing, but I'm assuming it'll be the same- a guy at jemsite.com mentioned being told they could get him either when he ordered one, and he said nothing abotu one being cheaper than the other...

    Haha, beat me to it.

My VK actually looks fairly good in person- more of a metallic burgundy, really, and it's not as gothic as you'd think- very prog rock.

I'd have to see a CB in person to judge what I think of it, i guess...

yeah, I sorta want one of the grey ones, if nothing else just for that pewter-ish (powder cosmo?) hardware. :)

I'll check music123 to see if they're clearing them out,b ut odds are they're not...

That was me. My friend (owner of music store) called asking which color I wanted, only to be told the RB wasn't available until late Jan. early Feb., so I told him to go ahead and get me the CB.

To his knowledge, there's no price diff.
