As a project at my sound engineering program, we had a assignment to mimic an existing production. In both performance, recording and production. I chose to try on The Elijah's song "I Loved". Kind of a hard thing to do when they have recorded it at a quite unique location, an old mansion in England. But I gave it a try and here's the result. The hardest part was to get the drums sound correct, as I'm using the Superior drummer 2.0 and didn't have the time or the resorces to record live drums. Please feel free to comment what you think about my production.

I love this band, I think your drums are punchy but too forward. Since they love to make everything sound like it's drowned in reverb (even before the album). You need to put the drums further back. Your cleans are pretty much on par with Michael in terms of cleans. It's awesome.

Yeah they are truly amazing. You are totally right about the drums. I'm also guessing they used two different snares, one on the intro and another when the tom fills starts? Or atleast two different "rooms" for the drums in the intro/rest of the song.
