I played a Halloween show this year wearing zombie contact lenses(I’ve never worn contact lenses in my life), so I had about 50% vision with pretty low stage lighting and needless to say it was rough.

When I saw Behemoth in 2008 they had massive green side markers on their guitars, I don’t know if it was just some green tape or what? I’ve played tons of shows with bad lighting but this was something else.. does anyone have suggestions for this kind of thing because I think I’ll be in the same situation next year. Not really interested in doing the LED mod think it would be too pricey.

You can get fluorescent tape, it's cheap, easy to apply/re-apply, and can be removed. It's the most simple solution really.

Though, if you want a permanent option, there is always getting a fluorescent material inlaid, but that stuff tends to have a particular lifespan.

Opeth has fluorescent tape on their guitars, covering also the backbof the neck where the markers are. Maybe not the most comfortable option, but you will sure see those.

Yeah that was the same as Behemoth, seems like a common touring trick maybe it’s for the frontman especially? Maybe even just green masking tape would do the trick

Theres also GID and UV reactive paints you can paint over your side markers. I think Fluff has a video on it. Other than that or tape, Luminlay is really helpful. I play low light stages almost exclusively and they're so helpful.

Glow on! Thank me later!
Its ultra phosphorescent paint for gun sites. Just dab a bit on your fret with as toothpick. You "charge" it like u would with luminlay frets and boom! You've got super bright glow in the dark frets! (was in a fluff vid)
I got some and it's great!
Unless youd rather not "paint" it on, then just buy some glow in the dark tape and cut whatever shapes out and stickem on!
