Hi
So, i´ve been on a guitar buying spree lately, after several months of not playing anything. I dunno maybe i was not feeling it or having moved to another country got me in a blue mood.
Anyway, here are some pictures of the new guitars i recently got. I would say all of them fill a different purpose and got me cover for all my music needs, from death metal to shoegaze.
I also got a RG2228 on the way too.

First one is a Squier Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster.
This one looks plays great, much better than i expected. I just need to put new strings as the tension now is a little to high for A standard.
It´s kinda wild to play on a 30" scale length, I mainly got this one as i´ve been listening to Loathe too much lately.

Second one is a regular Fender Stratocaster Player Series.
IMO the quality of the new MIM guitars has been quite good. Plus they are made in my hometown back in Mexico so there´s that.

Third one is a ESP E-II M-1
This one has been modify with a switch for the volume, i don´t quite like it tbh plus it has a red light that i think it looks tacky.
This one I got mainly to play death metal and such.

Finally an Ibanez Prestige RG5170G
honestly the only reason i got this is cause i´ve never had an Ibanez before, and i must say i am quite please about the playability and quality of it.
Took me a while to get used to the neck, but I like it so much that i was convinced enough to buy the 8 string RG2228

i think it looks ok as it shown in the picture, but when the guitar is connected it has very bright red LED.
You could easily swap it out for a non LED switch. I imagine the hole size is between 10-12mm so just measure it up and buy one without the LED. Its likely the hole size has been widened to accept the switch. Most Japanese guitars use 8mm shaft pots but i might be wrong.

I put a momentary kill switch on my Ibanez 540P because the volume knob placement gets in my way on most guitars. I like the simplicity of the ESP having one humbucker and a simple on off switch.

Nice collection, my favorite is the Squier!

I'm curious as to why Fender went with a 30" scale baritone vs a traditional 27/28", it's honestly the only reason I don't consider picking up one of them or the HB clones. Aesthetically I love JMs, but I know that scale would instantly make me want to swap it.

agree, 28" would´ve been perfect for me
