I love these things! I hope they make a production guitar or bass with this feature on 'em. (But I doubt they will for some reason.)

Ha yeah. The fact that half the world dosn't even know such a thing exists probably wouldn't help either.

I've seen some wild stuff before. There's a guitar somewhere (classical) with track frets. Each fret is cut into six pieces and can be loosened and moved from place to place.

Fernandez makes glass fingerboards for extra slippery fretless sliding.

Kramer used to make basses with removable mix & match fretboards. This would be the closest thing to what's in that video.
