It’s hard to make a rigorous comparison since I don’t do divebombs or whammy tricks, but I will say that it’s hard to make the Majesty go out of tune. I still need to tune it each time I play, which is not something I can say about the double locking Ibanez systems…makes sense because the EBMM is not double locking.

I rarely use the whammy despite all of Ibanezes having floating double locking terms. I really only bought them because I like to string bend a lot and they stay in the well. I bend a lot on the Majesty but I do need to tune it more frequently

Interesting. From what I've read, at least they have Schaller locking tuners. I definitely have to tweak most any guitar with an OFR before playing, especially if temps have been changing, although they are very stable after that. Probably less tweaking req'd for my Universe (LoPro Edge) or RG550 (Edge) now that I think about it, although I prefer the feel of the OFR slightly.

Of all the guitars I have, the one that is stable like freakin' Gibraltar is my Fender Tele with Babicz bridge + Hipshot locking tuners, which I think are probably a bit better than the Sperzels I have on some other guitars. It is nothing short of amazing, no matter how much temps change, etc. I also have a Carvin DC400 with locking tuners + OFR and no nut that is very solid. I really dig the ability to quickly tune to Drop-D with no locking nut or even D-Tuna to mess with.
Took me a while to appreciate the looks of the Majesty, but I can see one happening for me now!

Here is my RG1527. I consider this to be the quintessential 7-string. Everyone should have one. In true SSO fashion, I bought this Prestige used. The previous owner had Seymour Duncan Blackouts in them but I put the Dimarzio Dreamcatcher and Rainmaker 7 pickups in them. Turns out that a Royal Blue RG1527 with white pickups is NOT a unique combination.

I did replace the bridge shortly after getting this, which is why it looks so new. The guitar itself was made in 2009 per the serial number.

You know what Dimarzio needs to do? They need to ship their pickups with foam risers. I need to make a trip to Michael's to get some foam to get the same height as the stock pickups would have had (I've been saying this for four years now).

Picture from 2021 after I bought it from the previous owner. He had no idea how to ship this thing so he literally slapped a label on the hardshell case and shipped it. The hardshell case arrived with a huge crack in it...I sold that case with the RG1527Z that I previously had (sold it because the bridge was just so disgustingly corroded).

I sold the HT20 head. It's a classy little head, but I like playing metal and it was hard to control the noise, even with a noise gate.

I still have everything else in this picture except for the Seymour Duncan Blackouts which I sold for over $190 inc. shipping for the pair on eBay almost two years ago.

For some reason, I still have that Fundamentals of Engineering Review Manual. I think I actually opened it maybe once or twice when studying for that exam in spring 2018. I now hold Professional Engineering and Structural Engineering licenses in multiple states, yet I still hold onto that manual for some reason.

Those etchings on the neck pickup are super cool... The ones on the bridge not so much...
Yeah, but it would be rude to have nolly's etch and not bulb's.

I've wanted a guitar with the juggernaut pickup and bulb etching for a very long time, though I do generally prefer the idea of less specific etchings.
