I can’t say anything about the quality, but I’ve seen these on FB, and have always questioned those headstocks. The strings are coming out at such a ridiculous angle. Especially the 8. It makes me question some of the other parts of the designing.

I don't know anything about the quality either, though I do like the look of the work he is putting out. I have been following his work for a little over a year, and would like to try one of his guitars.
The builder was touring as the guitarist of Toxic Holocaust before covid.

Quasi necro-bump, but was wondering if anyone has had experience with these guitars since? I love the pointy-ness/harkening back to the glory days of Jackson and BC Rich etc, but I always am a little miffed for some reason at builders like himself that seem to specialize more in copies than they do original designs.

Pretty sure the guy from Municipal Waste was playing one of those when I saw them.

Oh, yeah, I guess that's why it's got their name on it.

I think the overlap of <the space of pointing things that harken back to the glory days of Jackson/BC Rich> and <the space of possible designs significantly novel> is virtually nonexistent. The star destroyer and star killer are both great minor tweaks on existing designs in the direction of being over-the-top.

You you end up getting that refinish done?

Basically no. Shipping options from Japan started to open up, and I got in touch about possibly shipping it out there in a soft bag which would allow the dimensions to sneak under the max size at the moment. But he said he had a backlog of like 7 months IIRC. Like I already got to the front of the queue and then waited like a year, so I don't know what's up with that.

But either way, at the time it looked like ESP would do the work for like $1800, which is pretty comparable to like $1k work + $300 + $300 shipping, so I just went with it. Now that one turned out costing me a ton too.

So now he's still got my deposit money and I'm just kind of scouting around for some replacement project, maybe with parts that are already in the US so they could go straight to him. Or some bolt-on thing I can send him in parts without a ton of shipping costs.

The V's look pretty cool but no price usually means too much $
I mean if you really wanted to know his prices, all you had to do is shoot him a message on IG or such. Last I talked to him he said builds start at 2500$.
