Anytime I've brought up my distaste for block heels, I always get the same response... "Well if EVH can play the way he did with one, its good enough for everyone.." Truly one of the most brain dead takes on not wanting to innovate and make things better. I'd buy an Ibanez Genesis series in a heartbeat if it had an AANJ.
I completely agree.
I have huge hands and play Ibanez with tiny necks, and yes I still want the absolute least amount of material in the way of my hands at the neck joint.

It's wild to me that a lot guitars are just not very playable above the like the 15th fret. If I can't use the entire instrument because of something in the way, it's a bad design. I own a few different styles of neck joints and it definitely effects the feel of the accessibility of the guitar.

Does this COA mean this masterbuilt BCR was actually made by Grover Jackson himself or am I misinterpreting this?

Grover has worked with/for pretty much everyone, and that includes a short stint making Gunslingers for BCR.

I think @USMarine75 has a Josh Rand CS Peavey?

Guitar Center Des Moines had like 3 or 4 Ibanez LACS Josh Rand guitars for sale about 10-15 years ago. They were like $1300-2400.

Separately, Josh Rand had a deal with Peavey to do a signature Peavey HP Special (The Wolfgang after EVH left Peavey) made in the Meridian Custom Shop around 2008. It was a fixed bridge special (flat top), birdseye maple fretboard and neck, reverse headstock, basswood body, with Dimarzio X2N and PAF Joe pickups. I think like 25% of each sale ($1600 retail) was supposed to support the Wounded Warrior Project but in the end it never happened.

As far as I can tell only two were ever made. One was owned by Josh and was up for sale on eBay a couple years ago. The other is the one I have. The digi camo pattern matches the one that was the Namm 2008 display and was used by Paul of Guitar World to demo. It ended up on the wall of a GC for like $800 and I couldn't snatch it fast enough lol.

Been on an 80's shredder kick lately and kinda wanna throw together a Warmoth 7/8 guitar as a sort of Valley Arts successor. 24.75" Strat with 24 frets sounds kinda fun.

Surprised at how much I dig this Balaguer Anomaly, I've seen them on their website before but it's cool to see one "IRL" (on Reverb).
Pretty adventurous design for a company that makes punk and hardcore guitars.

I've wanted one since they came out, just slightly hard to justify as there's been so few of them in the wild that I wouldn't be able to get a good reading on how balanced it is (e.g. will it sit on the right leg at a 45 degree angle without falling)
