No team wants to be the “one”. He has been getting a lot of attention from the others teams leading up to this. He’s still finding ways though.Would be funny as hell if he was 1 shy and got stoned by Pittsburgh again

Look at the bright side, they've currently got the 4th pick in the draft. Pens are playing just well enough to climb out of the top 5 picks

Yup, unfortunately much like the Patriots, the Bruins check came due at the same time and now it's just ...Celtics carrying us in sports while the Red Sox got off to a 1-4 start to the season; sadly, in Boston we don't have the gift of foresight, so we lose our entire core at once and it's a massive rebuild instead of a "two out, one in" re-shuffle and integrate new guys in so there's never really a FULL rebuild.
One more to go for Ovi

First point in the 3 games, but he has looked great. Definitely looks to be ready for the NHL and pretty complete. He’s been physical, good defensively, and made some nice plays.Ryaaan Leonaaaaaaaaaard!

I remember eyeing him that draft; we ended up taking a defenseman instead a few picks earlier, which was surprising and disappointing in the moment.
I was convinced that the sort-of-a-breakaway play was going to be it, but Spencer Knight's left pad was interminable, jeez.
I loved that Ovi told his coach he didn't want the record breaker to be an empty net goal

How crazy is it that he tied the record with one game less than Gretzky? He now has 14 ( of 20 ) seasons of 40 goals. He also broke the GWG record which Jagr held and the first period goal record that Gretzky had. Interestingly tomorrow when they play the Isles, Sorokin may start and he has never scored against him. Could it be the one?
Such an amazing accomplishment. Kudos to him!
