Had this for around a month. Old school LTD H-200 from 1999 nearly identical to my H-207, also from 1999. I liked the 7 string model enough that I jumped on this excellent condition 6 string model for a good deal. Performed the exact same mods, new Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, Hipshot TOM (best TOM bridges ever), Seymour Duncan Nazgul/Sentient, and new Switchcraft/CTS jack and pots. Only thing left I want to do to both is get new nuts installed.

Awesome guitars for modding though. The satin finish necks are great and I have been enjoying bolt-on over neck-thrus ever since I got my ESP USA TE-II. These older LTDs may lack the fanciness of the newer Deluxe models, but I think the build quality was just a little bit better. The hardware and electronics just weren’t that great. Really the golden era for LTDs in my opinion and I have owned a bunch ranging from 1996-2013.

Congrats! I saw this in your sig and was wondering if I missed the NGD post. I'm ready for you to get your hands on a mid-late 90s bolt on ESP too! Dude, the prices I was buying and selling those at... oi vey. Window might open again. Bolt on Horizons are like a secret weapon. I give the necks a quick hit of 400 and 600 grit sand paper. Makes those beautiful necks even smoother.

Also, for the sake of science, I want to grab one of these guys and toss an Alpha/Omega set in them. For science.

I can't find one at a decent price otherwise I would have bought one.

Good news is these can be found for cheap. I like the Alpha/Omega set a lot, wanted to try the 6 string Nazgul/Sentient set though.

Awesome catch! I love these models. One day I'll find one of these 6-strings for myself..
