I dont really do NGDs anymore, but Ive been enjoying the throwback picstory posts lately, so I thought I'd contribute a little.

I needed a trem equipped back up 7 for live use since my other 7s are hardtails, and thus began the search. I originally wanted another (and still do) SLAT3-7 in the elusive natural finish to go with my main trans-black SLAT3-7, but all I could find were the black and gun metal grey models, mostly the first gen models with the thicker necks and no binding. With no contenders to be found, the old SSO mantra began to ring through my head more and more "Oracles, stop wasting your time, just buy a used prestige!" and with those wise words, the search began. It had to be a 7620 or 1527, nothing else would do. After some searching, some unsuccessful negotiations on a few 1527Ms, and some wildly over-priced 7620s, I found it, the used prestige I'd been waiting for.

No box shots unfortunately, for no box was to be had.

But Oracles, aren't those EMGs? Surely they aren't staying? Fear not, dear reader, their tenure was short lived.

With no CL/LFs to be found, what am I to do? The EMGs can't stay, its the 2010s, the only logical option is to see what micro-influencer djent artist is releasing a new sig pickup. Maybe I have something in the parts drawer...

(I've hit the attachment limit) let's see what awaits when the 1527 comes out from under the soldering iron...

Congrats, that's a beautiful axe!
And the landscape, man - it looks almost identical to my hometown here in Norway.

You've covered a lot of tools, but no pets. @Randy what will be the points/score here?

Fishman Fluence? Quad Cortex? Helix? Oracles, you're awake!

The surgery was a success!

But wait, what's that? Could it be? It IS a Lundgren M7!

The final QC check

What more can I say at this point - it's a 1527, and its every bit as good as I remember them being. The seller had already swapped in the lo pro in which was a huge plus. A quick pickup swap with an M7 I had laying around, some noiseless springs, a tone knob delete, volume relocate, and it rips. Does absolutely everything I want and nothing I don't, and I got it for a steal. Looking forward to breaking it in and using it for some tracking over the late summer and fall

Beautiful! I have a white with maple, but I see that I also need a Galaxy Blue one in the future.
The Lundgrens are nice pickups, I've only tried the M6. Are the M7's very compressed or can you get a good crispy roar from the 1527?

Last minute save with the kitty, bonus points for the neck pickup delete and an M7.

Hell yeah! HNGD!
That has to be one of the most SSO guitars around. The EMGs did look cool, but good choice on the M7 plus neck pickup/tone delete. Made to fuckin rip. Boat, scenery, and weaponry pictures appreciated also.

... this reminds me I need to get my shit together and route the pickup cavities a bit wider in my Carvin so I cam fit that M7 I bought for it almost a year ago. 😅

Congrats on the new-to-you SSO standard 7 string! Your picture has me thinking about EMG's for my 1527 now 🤔

The kitty made it into the posts, there were multiple cutting/hand tools, a boat ride.... What an adventure! Easily 5000 points.

The EMGs can't stay, its the 2010s
oh, oh frend. How I wish that were true.

That's quite the boat! Glad you managed to cram the knife in there still and we still got the cat shot, certified NGD post.
The best color for these too! I really want to get one of these blue ones in my stable one of these days. I just don't play 7s enough. HNGD dude; this thing looks like it shreds.

I love that color, man. So hot. My Prestige was that same color, though it was a six string.

Every time I see one of these with the neck pickup out it reminds me of sweaty dive clubs and great nights of music. Congrats, man. Looks like a great guitar.
