I got this about 2 weeks ago. The neck is super comfortable on these, and it has that perfect worn in feel that a vintage guitar should. It has quite a few battle scars, but it’s an amazing player.

I took it apart and cleaned and polished everything I could. I added straplocks, but I saved the original “boomerang” strap pins. I also changed the output jack.

It’s currently tuned to D standard. The pickups sound great, but the bridge pickup is a little bit weak. It has a good tone, but the neck pickup has twice the output. I tried raising the bridge pickup, but it won’t go up any more. I may need to cut the springs to raise it some more, but I’ll probably end up puting a single-sized humbucker in there.

I have some more pics, but they’re too large. I’ll add them when I get a chance to resize them.

Those pre-RGs were top-notch in the 80's, and still today. Congrats man ! :)

Wow, very cool! Weird seeing a non-recessed Edge bridge.

Wow, that thing is clean! Loves the specs, 22 frets, SSS, non-recessed edge.. definitely different from your standard RG.

Really love the looks of these 80's roadstars. Kinda regret selling mine, as it was top notch for the price I paid, but unfortunately I never truly bonded with it like I'd hoped to.
