I guess there will be more disgusting color scheme models, no simple classic looking, affordable guitars...
And definitely no cool looking 7 string S models...

If I could dream of a production guitar to be produced, it'd be something along the lines of an IC507 (so 7-strings with binding and block inlays), but with changes to make the bridge a TOM-style and 27" scale.

I was disappointed with the boring murdered-out ICTB721 aesthetically and really wished a re-run of the 507 honestly.

That for sure over the all black satin finish. So fucking cool.

I’d like to see more AZ’s in brighter (neon/ sparkle/ graphic) colors and different body/ neck woods. The AZ 2407F and AZ247P1 are my fave’s (I have both and actually play the premium model more).

I’d love to see something similar to an RG550 but with AZ specs, black hardware, neon finishes and DiMarzio pickups.

Whatever happened to that custom Xiphos Scott LePage was playing? Could we get AZ specs, but with a different body shape like a Xiphos or XV500?

I'd love to see some Prestige-level 7-string RGA's (with Lo Pro Edge). Always loved the RGA body style but none of the 7-string (Prestige) RGA's over the years have appealed enough to me to make me pull the trigger.

On the other hand, I'd throw my money at a 7-string version of the RGA622XH without even thinking twice. That's a fu*king sweet guitar, but it's just missing a string.

Yeah, a kind of 7622xh.
I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

Hell ya!

I have the AZ427P2 and it's amazing. I far prefer it to my Prestige AZ for some reason. Anyway, neon coloured AZs would be awesome.

More controversial than my opinion that the Pia looks awful?
The white one looks awful. I think that the gold pickups push it over the edge. The green one makes me want to vomit. The pink one is OK at best. The gold one is also somewhat ugly.

The black one is absolutely gorgeous. Pity about the matte finish. I have never liked matte finishes since they feel cheap.

Also, these guitars would look better with the Lo Pro instead of the Original Edge....yes yes I know that the LoPro drops right in but that still means you are spending an extra $300-400 on a guitar that is already $3.5k.

The bottom one has my vote.
Agreed.

I also wish they'd stop with that greyburst flamed maple. If I'm already splurging on flamed maple, I want something cool like the bottom one or the Twilight Blue or Dark Amber that my RG3120/RG3120F guitars have. Honorable mentions go to Almondite Garnet, Sodalite, and Purple amethyst. Ibanez has made so many lovely flamed maple tops...but Black Rutile just isn't one of them.

Shout out to Divine Amber 😜

Black Rutile isn't terrible, particularly in person, but it is indeed a little boring. It was trying a Black Rutile 8527 that made pull the trigger on my 8527Z DA.

Twilight Blue is beautiful also. One of my favorites has always been the Atlantic Blue they used on the RG3620Z; one of my favorite Ibanez models I've ever tried.

The RG3620Z seems to pop up on the used market at very reasonable prices (compared to other MIJ RG models with flamed maple tops). I was very tempted by an Atlantic Blue RG3620Z about a year ago, because it was a good price (from memory, I think £800ish) and excelletn (near mint) condition. I just could justify it though, having recently bought an FM3, new studio speakers and an RG1527. I was also tempted by one in Himalayan Black a couple years earlier, but that also arrived in my inbox as a Reverb search result soon after another purchase (possibly my RGA321F)...Reverb has a habit of sending me well-priced, pretty Ibbys just after I've bought one. 🙃

Where are you finding these? I think I've only ever seen one for sale in the last 2 years or so. It was a Himalayan Black. I've had saved searches on Reverb for 3620Z and 4570Z for that time and nothing has popped up :(

Not sure I could afford one at the moment, but I'd LOVE to own one at some point.

twilight blue is gorgeous, but don't forget vintage violin and wild cherry blossom either! The J custom RG7s mentioned above are such a good spec but I wish they'd reverse the headstock and use some stainless steel frets. It won't happen, but it would rule.

Seriously, just make a J. Custom like this and I will buy it!
