picked it up from pro audio star for half off.

I bought a 6505 recently and it's definitely going back to GC. the Stan is brutal.

Just like the amp is half wattage, so are the amount of letters you are putting in the model name.

Congrats! I have always wondered why these Randall amps were not more popular.

Too high a price for Chinese amps, and extreme failure to deliver. They were hyped before launch and then took over a year to actually get stock to anyone, and then failed to keep them in stock so people bought other amps. The Thrasher I had was awesome, and I intend to get another one sooner or later.

Can you describe the sound? I’ve been interested in these, but the sound descriptions are wildly variable.

And, I’d love it if it were actually called Stan. I think we’re moving past the “zomg they put the devils name on the amp” time, so Stan would be awesome.

No obviously not, I would have bought one if I hadn't spent a lot of money in the last 2 weeks already. But that was also 50% off what retail was for that amp. A bunch of places still have them in stock for $1499.99.

Is this amp even worth 750?

Most reviews I see seem to call it a dry mess.
I’ve had 0 experience with them, I’d even be willing to try one. However for base price now, I’d go back on to reverb and rebuy a ksr.

Distortion on Thrasher and Santa always seemed too overhyped for me, like it has an extra clipping diode in the front. Not bad amp for super aggro stuff though.

How are the cleans or who cares?

Whats the E530 > Efx Return of the Satan like? Especially with a High Depth to make up for the E530's lack of Bass

Speaking of Stan and Eminem... The first verses of that song where its just his letters... Stan's flow and rhyming are easily just as good if not better than Eminems. Its a shame he died before he got discovered

Have you actually played them? The Thrasher was really not like that unless you wanted it to be. Between the multiple modes and 3 gain controls it was pretty flexible actually.
