Neural DSP question: archetypes vs QC

So I've done a few searches and can't seem to find anyone asking a similar question.

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but are the archetype plugins unique or can the same sounds be achieved on QC with the built-in amps/effects?

Not mocking you at all, but the main complaint of the QC is that no, they can't load the amps on the archetypes nor have them inside. It was a feature promised by NDSP before launch that was never (and probably never will) implemented.

It was the main source of disappointment with the QC, before the security breach that revealed that NDSP gathers sensitive information like WiFi passwords.

What I'm asking is if you can achieve the same sounds as you'd be getting with the archetype plugins, or if those particular 'amp' models and effects are entirely unique.

For example the gojira and Tom Morello plugins having various whammy pedal type pitch options, are those completely different than the type of pitch-shifting the QC can do already?

You could probably get close to a lot of the sounds with a lot of tweaking, but the Archetype models are unique. For example, the Archetype Nolly amps are all based on real amps (some of which are in the QC, some of which aren't), but they've all been modified by Nolly. I'd imagine the other Archetype amps are custom built for the plugins.

Not really, but I’m sure NDSP certainly wishes they could!

I don’t think all the effects from the plug-ins are in the QC yet and like was said above, the amp models are different. I think they did finally update the Soldano in the QC to sound more like the plug-in after catching shit for it sounding like a turd.

Hahahaha and you’d have to get the QC to stop buzzing or spitting out distorted audio before you got to enjoy anything else.
