What are you looking for in a neck pickup? lots of mids? fluid? output? good cleans? rich/warm? bright?

honestly ive never changed pickups out before, ive always stayed with stock. this guitar i just bought frim a local store. it's from the early 80s and the neck feels amazing, the pickups are really low output and the pots and input jack are rusty and make lots of unwanted noise

i was going to completly gut the electronics and rewire it.

with that in mind i think id say fluid. I'm going to be attempting sweeps and such off it

The Sentient (which pairs in terms of aesthetics to the Nazgul) is decently fluid, but is relatively low output. It has really nice clarity so it would be great for sweeps if you want to hear every note.

I haven't played a BlackWinter neck but I've heard its very fluid and a pretty high output for a neck pickup. The BlackWinter neck may be what you want here.

The BW neck is fluid as hell for legato, sweeps, and singing leads. Can't go wrong.
