    And here it is...

Since I bought my first one in 2015, I got addict to the design and basically just the pure fun it is to play a Strandberg Boden...

My other guitars had much much less playing time since that time.

So in order from top to bottom left then right:

    - 2018 USA Select Boden 7 (ash / maple / ebony / Fishman)
    - 2018 J Custom Boden 7 (Mahogany / wenge / ebony / BKP Aftermath)
    - 2017 Boden 8 Metal (Basswood / maple / ebony / Fishman)
    - 2016 Swedish CS Boden 7 (Ash / birdseye maple / BKP Juggernaut)
    - 2017 Swedish CS Boden 6 baritone neckthrough (Alder / Pau Ferro / BKP Juggernauts)
    - 2018 Classic Boden 6
    - 2017 Boden 6 Fusion (Korea)
    - 2015 Washberg Boden 6 (ash / birdseye maple / SD Alpha-Omega)

A shame you can't add a M2M to your collection.

    That is awesome!

Am I reading this correct: you have a J7 Japanese build? How does that stack up fit/finish/fretwork compared to the 8 Metal?

I’m always kinda sorta thinking of buying a J8 but can’t convince myself yet. If the Metal 8 is comparable, that sure would be an easier route to go.

The Boden J is just perfect in every way! The fret work, binding, neck... it's perfection! However is it worth more than 2x my Boden 8 Metal? maybe not ;) the Boden Metal is a GREAT model and I'm partial to basswood guitars. It sounds amazing. And maybe I'm lucky but I can't find any flaw on my Boden M!
However the Boden J has awesome and rare features like the mahogany body, buckeye burl top, wenge/walnut neck, neck binding... so I took the bite. My most expensive guitar ever! and I don't regret it...

From a construction standpoint, it's as good as it gets for a Boden. Good fretwork, still lightweight,... A bit thin sounding, especially compared to the Fusion. Guess it would benefit from a pickup change...

Not really... When I want to go nuts on specs... I go Padalka!! :D :D :D then we're talking another level of craftmanship for the money...

also meant to ask if you can hear a difference between the pups that are straight vs slanted? which do you prefer?

...provided they are basically the same brand/model.

Wow, great collection! I am curious if there are neck carve or dimension differences between the various guitars? I love my older korean os7, but I had to sell my Os6 because the neck shape was not condusive to thumb over chording that I often do on sixers.

Edit, I mean between your various six string strandbergs

That’s a great collection - congratulations on finding a guitar that works that well for you!
I am currently building my own headless guitar, but those Strandbergs sure are mighty tempting!
Honestly, the Boden Classic is probably the most attractive option to me - I have a couple of PU ideas I’d love to try on it and the pickguard is perfect in that respect.

    Cheers

That is a cute collection. I have, like, nineteen of them... but my camera isn't working, or whatever.
