Cattle Decap is probably my most anticipated at this stage. Not sure who else is due in 2023, but hopefully it’s a banging year for death metal.

There hasn't really been a full album I can call my favorite yet this year but a couple EPs fit the bill, Ten56 - Downer Part 2 and Darko - Dethmask Part 2, which I'm counting even though it dropped at the very end of '22.

Hopefully JFAC finally drops the new album they've been working on this year.

Obituary - released their best record since the turn of the century
Trastorned - Into The Void, is quite a fun listen
Conjureth - wow what a solid record
Twilight Force - massive sounding record, riffs for days, glorious power metal
Anachronism - by far their best and filled with racket ball levels of dissonance
Profane Order - solid blackened death metal
Vai/Gash - very cool Steve released this and a sad story of another gifted singer

Anticipated:
In Flames - sounds better than the last few so far
Ulthar - double album that may be on the AOTY list
