I remember when Haunted came out. Chris had crossed a new threshold in boring. That later album that sounded like Brutality was surprisingly good.

The first two Baroness albums are legendary

Everything after that is whatever but I can't imagine bashing those first two releases lol

Hey y'all!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support. This gig was an incredible honor for me, I've been obsessed with this band for 20+ years now! I expected to have a blast doing the gig, then open my phone the next day and have it literally shoot flames directly into my face, but the fan response has been absolutely incredible. Warms my heart.
I'm waiting on my gear to get back to me right now, but afterwards, I'll do a rig rundown on my channel. Someone mentioned my Dunable guitars I used, which are incredible, and I also brought along my Suhr Alt T for the drop A songs!
Cheers, and thanks again so much for the support.

Not a single Dokken cover worked into the set? Come on, Ben. We expected more from you.

Screw that! First, Second, and the two tracks on A Grey Sigh In A Flower Husk are the hardest and most interesting things they ever put out, although red and blue are cool too.

Yep. They were way more experimental back then, I guess they settled into "their sound" along the way. Both Baroness and Mastodon lost the magic for me at some point, their earlier stuff just had this raw, heavy intensity that seemed to fade away in favor of pop luster. People seem to love it so wtf do I know, but I still crank those old albums.

Y'all crazy, Yellow & Green has some absolute tunes on it.

And bunch of nerds in a Mastodon thread should love Morningstar off Purple, it's the most Brent Hinds riff I've heard from Baroness
Yellow & Green and Purple for me, wonky production on Purple really works at certain points.
