Late NGD! Schecter Damien Elite 8

Got my first 8 string for christmas and this thing is AMAZING! It is super comfortable while playing and the only gripes i have about it are the emg 808s (ALTHOUGH they arent as bad as people make them out to be, they do lack the dynamics and response that the Nazgul i have in my 7 and the pegasus i have in my 6 string guitars) , and the "shorter" 26.5 scale length. I do plan on swapping out the emgs for either a set of covered bkp nailbombs or juggs, the Lundgren m8c, or either the Fishman Stephen carpenter Fluences/ New tosin abasi Fluences (when they finally go on sale since they were announced the other day).

Congrats man, I had one in the same finish some years ago. Regret selling it, liked the feel much more than the rg8 I have now.

definitely. i tried an ibby rg8 before and didnt like the neck profile but the one on this is amazing

Definitely not the worst pickups as they actually are AMAZING for cleans, but they're also not the best.

Nice score, I have one in red. Fretboard gets super dark after you get it cleaned up and oiled.

I swapped the 808s out for d-activators in this and I noticed the same thing... the 808 cleans are actually really good. The lack of background noise does them favors there.
