I picked this up a couple months ago, and never posted a NGD thread for it . I've been listening to a lot more 80s metal recently so I got a hankering for a Charvel. When I got it the action was about a mile a high and the strings were about as old as I am, and it didn't come with the bar. I went to change the strings so I could get 'er fixed up and playable, and the screws in the back of the bridge were stripped out. So I had to wait very patiently on some stuff from Frets on the Net to make my new guitar playable. I was planning on throwing an old school JB in there since it needs to be rewired anyways, but the Jackson pickup sounds killer so I'm probably going to leave it.

It looks like this, but it has a coil split switch under the volume knob. Ever since Photobucket went full retard my pictures don't work half the time.

If it's good enough for EVH, it's good enough for me.:hbang:

And I agree with what Satchel said...they definitely know how to do algebra at Charvel.

Very nice. Model 2 if I'm not mistaken. I do love those late 80's/early 90's

It plays great, and sounds good, but it needs a new jack in it, it keeps cutting in and out.

Nice guitar and very simple with just one pick up which is all you really need unless you're a jazz player.;)

Awesome man! Im glad thats the only thing you need to replace. Sometimes these older guitars need a bit of work!

Well I had to rebuild the bridge on it. The screws to change the strings were stripped out, and I changed the thing for the bar out so I could use an OFR bar. While I was at it I kinda wish I would have gotten one of those brass blocks that's supposed to give it more sustain.

Not to add to that, but the brass really does add something
