I saw the vids but didn't really get it. Can anyone explain/elaborate exactly what these are ?
The tone on the other hand does sound much clearer with these on
I didn't watch the vids, but these look like they're to amplify a POD or similar modeler/amp sim. No need for a separate power amp or to defeat the cab sims in the modeler. Just run a cable from the POD to this cabinet and play your presets.
Lots of full range cabs out there, but these look a bit more accessible/familiar for a guitarist's perspective.
The application is weird. He also said the cab listens to your output and goes between it and your normal speaker cab. How does full range makes effects better? Are you suppose to mic these things?
Its probably set-up as some sort of wet/dry rig with a "dry" guitar tone at the amp (in the middle) and amience and delay effects spread out to the FRFR cabs.
They're popping up for 369 Euro incluidng VAT, which usually means $369 USD, though my dealer was told by Laney it'd be something like $500.
Paul Glover made a part 2 video that explains how to use just 1 + your rig. His part 3 will highlight how to utilize just one. Seems a pretty good deal for those with the IRTStudio or with a rack based rig of low wattage.
