I've been super happy with early 90s Chushin Gakki stuff. No special mojo needed -- I think they were putting out consistently great stuff at the time. To look back now and think people probably felt it was inferior to the USA models... I'm not so sure. Apart from some inlay materials and hardware choices, hard to see a difference IMO.

Maybe it's because the Fusion HH was considered a lower end model but my mid 00's DK2M is just as nice and the COW 7 is better than both of them. All three of are excellent guitars though, and in total cost me less than $1k to acquire . That's not happening anymore.

I've been hunting for that Stealth and her Kelly sister for a long time now. Any clue where it is now?

I sold it to a guy in the UK on this forum back in 2014 or 2015. I haven't seen it pop up since so I assume he might still have it. I think I got $1,800 for it which was more than what I paid but a lot less than what it's worth now. Gorgeous guitar with a very Ibanez feeling neck. I can dig through my PMs and see if I can find the buyer's username.

Don't worry. With current speculation rates on used USA Jacksons nowadays it would probably be listed at 8k, which I'm not willing to pay anyway
There was a time where I was willing to pay whatever price for that Kelly, the octopus Warrior 7, or the Korina KV7 with the Kahler. And I think I meant it at the time...I probably really would have done the top of what was realistic back then. These days? Those are still probably my top 3 most coveted Jacksons, but there's just other stuff I'd rather put that money towards than what I imagine people would charge for any of them now.

Got pictures of that Korina KV7? :yum:

There was a time I when I was only interested in CS Jackson 7s. There were quite a few of decently priced ones up for grabs, but budget wouldn't allow. Now that I have a better job, the price they go for sale has easly tripled. :erk:

I sure do. Not enough, but a couple at least haha.

Now that's cool!

I keep a personal gallery of Jackson CS7s. I believe this makes #110 or so. It turns out I had one around, although the quality is kinda shitty:

Goddam why does the Warrior have to be so scarce... I'm looking at the used market here in Finland and there is 1 (0 for most of the time) for sale atm and it's a with a TOM. Not in a rush really, but when the GAS for a project hits, well you know it... Actually I would only need a warrior body since I have a DKMG neck waiting. Bodies are of course even more rare.

Looking for one with a floyd and thinking of sanding the body to bare wood and giving it an all black stain with EMGs. Perhaps try to direct mount the pups, since that looks really good with EMGs :D Haven't tried staining before and atm can't/ don't want to mess around with sprays.

IIRC/ might have missed some, but in one year there have been one custom shop warrior and one japanese made MG series for sale, a few more of the cheaper models. I know one eventually pop up though...

So this post might not have any actual value, just sharing my pain, have a good weekend everyone!

Thanks! If the guy wanted to sell it, this wouldn't be a good time for me anyway. I'm not the kinda guy that waste other people's time if not seriously buying.

I might ask you again in the future, though! :agreed:

Hello all, long-time lurker coming out from behind the couch to ask a Jackson question--I recently acquired a 2016 USA Select Soloist SL2H, phenomenal guitar. Does anybody know what type of fret wire is used on this particular year? Everywhere I've looked just has "jumbo" listed in the specs chart.

Long time member, long time absent poster. Not sure exactly who makes theirs, but the size is equivalent to Dunlop 6100.

Awesome, thank you. I assume it's also some sort of nickel/silver alloy.
Safe to assume that. I don't think stainless frets ever made it into any of their production guitars except for the signature models like the broderick soloists or juggernauts.
