Hey guys just a short question

I usually use free vst amp sims for my home recording but i just discovered jamup from positive grid for the ipad. So what my idea is now, is to hook up my guitar into the ipad (with an ipad interface/adapter) and then out into my interface (steinberg ci1), so that i can record into my pc but with the surprisingly good tones from the jamup app.
My question now is what kind of adapter/interface that i would need, to hook my guitar into the ipad while still being able to have a cable run into my pc interface? So i would need a ipad interface (ipad 2, the big connector) with 1/4" jack in for guitar and 1/4" jack out for going into my interface. Is there anything like that on the market? Any recommendations? As cheap as possible would be cool :)

Thx a lot as always

Rock on

would it work to just take one of those cheap iRig interfaces and go from the headphone out into the my pc interface? Or do i need one with the big ipad connector?

I'm not sure, does an iPad 2 have a lightning connector or the old 30-pin one? If it's an older one probably try Alesis
Alesis iO Dock II

I wouldn't have a clue about the smaller interfaces, I've never used one

Ok i found the perfect interface/dock. Its the behringer istudio is202. Its only 99 bucks here in switzerland and it fits all my needs. It only works with the 30pin connector but my ipad has that connector so its no problem for me. Thanks a lot for your help mate! Ill write it down here when i tried out the interface etc. so that everybody can see that has the same question.

I'd advise against the Behringer, I had one and the power button stopped working. Was easier to upgrade to the Focusrite than to deal with Behringer support haha
