Made a quick little clip of it this afternoon just to see what's what in a mix.

This is my Dave Davidson Warrior into a Keeley SD-1, boosting the Shredmaster, into the interface and using the Kazrog 5150 clean channel, with the mesa os 4x12 IR. Also the first thing I've recorded with my new bass, a project bass in need of a little TLC, but it sounds alright here.

I'm diggin' it pretty cool, though I wouldn't mind smoothing it out a bit in this particular mix. Lots of rage in this pedal.

I initially found my Shredmaster to be dark. After a suggestion on TGP and some fiddling around, it is still on the darker side for a Marshall sound, but it has just enough upper mids and low treble to work. I'm testing it with a Bluesbreaker in front and after it to see which makes it easier to get the sound I want.

The Guv'nor is great with and without the Bluesbreaker. The Shredmaster, after dialing it in more, is getting better with or without the Bluesbreaker as well. Just need the Drivemaster to finish off the set.

After I finish deciding if I want the Shredmaster before or after the Bluesbreaker, I plan to try the MXR Custom Badass Modified Overdrive boosting the Guv'nor, Drivemaster, and Shredmaster.

Thanks, guys.

Yeah, the Shredmaster does tend to get dark. More gain seems to equal more bass, so a boost is almost a must if you aren't going for "mix dominating lead."
Hell yeah! What was the new bass?
One of those Glarry GiB6 things in natural finish. It's got some pretty glaring issues right out of the box, but I enjoy taking cheapos and turning them into players.

Nice! I've heard the Glarry's can be decent with a little work for not a lot of money.

For just over a hundred bucks for a six string bass with a decent neck? It's a heck of a place to start. I wouldn't recommend them for a beginner, because it's definitely gonna need some work to be its best, but if you dig futzing with setups, it's probably worth the price of admission.
