Am I hating on Nita? Not at all. Do I think she’s over-featured? Absolutely. My Editor and I have a difference of opinion on this matter. You won’t see Guitar World touch the Evan Rubinson story with a ten-foot pole. That would upset Ernie Ball and Ibanez their two biggest advertisers.

Oh, I had no idea that the same people who ran Thoroughbred music were the ones involved in the success of Dean Guitars.

So I learned that today. Everything else claimed in this story seems like it's impossible to verify, though. I guess it's possible that Dean would oust their CEO and not address it on their website, keep the bio of their ousted CEO, not release anything to the press, etc., but I would like to think that at least one other music journalist would have picked up on this story.

I looked up the name of the mom and it looks like she's been involved in lawsuits with other family members before. So, even if the accusations are actual accusations, the rest of the story could still be complete bullshit.

As others pointed out, I don't see a connection between Evan suing his mom's event coordination company for $30k and anything to do with Dean Guitars, other than the name of the person involved. Embezzlement of nearly half a million bucks would undoubtedly be a criminal complaint, which would get a totally different sort of court documents.

Still, though, "several news articles"... and then two articles from All That Shreds, and them him just saying someone anonymous told him "it's all true." When I saw the All That Shreds article, I honestly brushed it off as BS. Now I'm not sure. But the video of reading the BS article and then the guy who once interviewed Evan saying he texted Evan, and, instead of showing the text, shows the article... isn't that much better than the BS article, even if it is better.

This might be true, but, if so, it's highly unusual that this would get so little coverage.

Or this might be partially true and partially false, or somehow unproven, or a mixture of other option c type stuff, in which case it's just unusual for that.

At this point, there's no convincing info one way, the other, nor in between....

I hope Ray isn't making this shit up. I always liked him and he seemed super genuine. I'd hope he didn't hop on some nonsense article and then lie about his confirmations...especially since he got in good with Dean and Armadillo. This would surely kill it if it were a lie.

In general, I would never trust what a YouTuber says. As nice as they might seem, they also live off of views, meaning they're incentivized to hop on rumors and gossip and to peddle the pettiest of drama.

They're entertainment. Not a reliable source of unbiased information.

I don't understand why you're gonna go as far as confirm you talked with Evan and even confirm the info but not show the texts? What's there's to protect if you're pretty much confirming the people in the text + the info.
