ESP KH-2

Does anyone own one or have played one?... I'm dying to buy one, but no stores around me carry the ESP line, so I haven't had a chance to play one... Any comments, thoughts, or experiences you could send my way regarding playability, sound, etc.. would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks,
.:Steve:.

I played the cheap Les Paul version (403 I think). I almost went with it instead of my RG 1570. Played really nicely for a $500.00 axe.

ESP makes a nice instrument, but umless you're married to the inlays, I'd try one of these

since that's where they borrowed it from, and it's cheaper. ;)

That's a sweet guitar... Do you know the model number, by chance? Would eBay be my best bet for finding one?
Thx,
Steve

The KH-602 is Korean made, but a neck thru. The custom shop one you show is like double the price and a bolt on. I have a student with the 602, and I will say it's a sweet axe. But if you're looking for a neck thru, the 602 is very well made, and a great deal (899ish new....with REAL EMGs). Not to mention that the floyd on it is very good too. I'm a lo-pro lover, but the ESP's holds up very well.

Thanks for the feedback... I've looked around for the KH-602, but can't find them anywhere.....even eBay... I do see some KH-2's on eBay (bolt-on's) used for around $1000.... The neck-thru models are selling for $2-3000, which is much more than I'd pay for sure.... From the feedback so far, they are great sounding guitars, but I may have better options....

Thanks again...

It's a Jackson DK-1. They're readily availble from Jackson dealers, and several different variaties and finishes pop up on evilBay regularly. I own an '80s version, and it's an excellent guitar.

That swirly space graphic is lame. :noway: May as well get a guitar in the shape of a machine gun while you're at it.

Yeah, and for some dumb reason, Jackson is using that for the picture of the model on their site. This looks better:

I like the no swirly BLACK model.... Looks like new ones run around $1600, so I'll be stalking ePay looking for a used one....
Thanks for the help!
