ESP Custom Shop Raiden-7 Red Anodized

Here is something you don’t every day… or ever? ESP Custom Shop Raiden-7. This is a Japanese market signature model I recently imported, one of the best sounding and most unique 7-strings I’ve played thus far. The GAS is real on this one. It has a richlite fingerboard, red anodized pickguard, SD Nazgul/Sentient pickups, and just tons of mojo.

It’s weird, I’m more of an ESP Horizon kind of guy, strat shapes like this Snapper body don’t usually do it for me, but sometimes guitars just have “it” - and this is one of those. All the ESP Snapper stuff always sounds incredibly resonant, aggressive and clear.

What do you guys think of this one?

I dig the big route pickups. It seemed like they instantly became passé once there were dedicated 7/8-string sizes, but there's still a ton of situations where they look amazing.

Man, of all the awesome extended range Snapper stuff ESP Japan has been doing, this one is my favorite. With 24 frets and a Floyd it would be a perfect companion to my Ohmura...

I also love how Isao put the Zeon emblem on his personal guitars, Red Comet vibes for sure.

Damn, it's gorgeous! Why slap a Floyd Rose in it, though? The MM bridge is a big reason why I own JP's over other shredders.
