Anyone in the US ever purchase an ESP, etc. from a place like hiend? I enquired about the blue one and they basically told me to look elsewhere in the US...which of course you probably won't be able to find anything close to that one.

They told you they don't sell outside Indonesia? They used to have their entire stock listed on Reverb, but I don't see their shop anymore. It's kinda weird you have to send them a message to even inquire about buying a guitar.
Edit: Nevermind, they're still on Reverb, but none of the ESPs are listed. I know they used to have them on Reverb.

Here is what they said - I appreciate their honesty I guess...
I don't suggest purchase from us. I suggest purchase from US dealer.
here are the reasons:
1. you cant return if you dont like it
2. we only accept US bank wire / zellepay
3. ESP is not like an apple product, it doesnt come with International warranty. so you have to bring to us if you need warranty someday.
4. we are located very far away. ship cost is around US $400
but good thing is all our guitar are brand new/never displayed/never tested
we only took out for photograph and put back to its case and stored in our humidity controlled room. and we are by appointment showroom only.

Huh. When I reached out months ago, he didn't have any issue selling to an American. The shipping is expensive and his prices aren't exactly bargains, so those things combined kept me from pulling the plug.
I've purchased two guitars from there over the last two years (last was in December 2022) and had no issues. Very smooth transaction actually and very fast shipping via DHL (faster than a lot of domestic retailers actually).
