My buddy Vic made it, I'm demo-ing it:

    He's made VH1:

The Bumblebee (which my wife bought me for my 40th):

We're currently gathering up the parts to make the Charvel Star that Ed toured with on Women and Children First.

They're fun to play and Ed's one of the main reasons I picked up geetar in the 1st place. Those first four albums kick my balls in.

I thought that "Charvel Star" was a hacked-up Ibanez Destroyer.

Yes it was, the old 70s Destroyer. IIRC I think it was Korina (or Ash, I forgot), when it was cheap back then. And Ed regretted hacking that guitar up. Ibanez changed the woods on the new Destroyers thus Ed could never replicate that sound again.

From what Doug Steele is saying, it sounds like replicating this guitar. Lets all hope it replicates the "before hacked-up" sound.

    BTW Doug/John, you're amazing. :shred:

It was one of the Ibanez lawsuit explorers, which only came in Korina I believe.

Great vids Doug, saw these on youtube when you updated them! I guessed the pickup combos right too haha!

Fucking awesome, I had such GAS for an EVH strat a while back, but I quit buying guitars before I set out on the voyage of making one.

Watching every one of those videos was absolute heaven for me. THANK YOU! You've done EVH proud & yes, I'm extremely jealous of your guitars. :dio:

Thanks, don't get too jealous, i only own the bumblebee, but we're making more. I'm going to make all the elusive guitars that Ed played that nobody really remembers, like this guy:
